A drawing of a brain on brown paper with and paper dolls standing above a section that's peeled back to reveal the word "stories".

A story can make a world of difference and different world.

Tammy is a translator, copywriter and award-winning novelist who is fascinated by the neurochemistry of narrative and its impact on empathy, learning and making sense of the world and other people.

She starts her own creative writing and visual art projects exploring scientific papers and believes that stories to change hearts and minds should start in the same way – with a solid understanding of how the research into social issues affect the choice of character, plot, setting, point of view and evaluative judgements will be received in a specific cultural context.

Once the narrative architecture is in place, it needs to be filled with life: details and voices. Not mine, but those of the people closest to the issue. Then it’s all about amplifying those voices to create social impact.
